Which is cooler: a brick building or a straw hut?

You’d think a brick building would be cooler than a straw hut, right? Bricks bake under Malawi’s hot sun, retaining, and radiating the heat. It’s stifling inside. In a village, you find homes built of brick and others of straw. It seems the poorer villagers live in straw huts. But a cooling breeze blows through the straw. It’s still hot enough to sweat, but much cooler than the brick building. One good thing, you don’t have to use the restroom all day long because your body is conserving water.
