Christmas-card-like Bavarian Village

Leavenworth, Washington didn’t always have the beautiful, fantasy appeal it has now. In 1965, this former railroad and timber town transformed into a Christmas-card-like Bavarian village. I’ve been there many times, but it’s still a delight to be caught up in the magic of the Bavarian culture, food, and music. Enjoy a performance of “The Sound of Music” in an outside theater surrounded by enchanting steep mountains. These jagged peaks give the feel of being in Austria right alongside Maria. Beside other performances, there are many activities to choose from, making it a fun place to visit. Much of book II, “Identity Lost,” takes place around Leavenworth, nearby Icicle River Rd, and Wenatchee which is thirty-five minutes away. Exciting news! An audiobook version of “Identity Lost” will be available on Audible, Amazon, and Itunes this summer.

  1. We are so lucky to have a little slice of Europe right in the middle of Washington, and your description made it all the more appealing!

Can’t wait for the release of your second book on Audible this summer!
