Ancient Irish Language

First seen in the fifth century, Irish is one of the oldest written languages. It’s making a real comeback. I heard it over the radio and in the pub when we visited Connemara. In Ireland, many citizens speak English and Irish. The spelling of some Irish words doesn’t fit with our American phonetic pronunciation as you’ll see in narrator’s Jenny’s video below. It means “Good night.”
