A Miracle Happened

Before modern technology, early 1951, a miracle happened . . . Ron lived. He was born two months premature at a whopping two pounds. Maybe God had plans for him. Since the respiratory system is one of the last things to fully develop, it’s not surprising Ron fights bad lungs. In 2006 my husband, Ron, traveled to India. In some cities, thick black smog blotted out the opposite side of the street. Not good if you have only 40 percent lung capacity. One morning during that time I read Psalm 112: 7 “They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.” Later that day, Ron’s friend called from India, an extreme rarity. He asked that our church pray for Ron and his breathing. I did and then fell to my knees in prayer. Psalm 112:7 came to mind. To me, God wanted me to know that He would take care of Ron. Be confident that I can trust Him. Clearly God worked so that I wouldn’t worry. That shows His loving compassion. God did just as He said. In Ron’s life, God has been doing miracles for seventy-four years! We don’t always see answers to prayers, but God’s wisdom and ways are far beyond anything we could imagine.
