During a Malawian church service, five women sang and danced respectfully. As they danced in unison, one lady led out the singing of each phrase and the rest echoed her. In Malawian villages, women are expected to wear long dresses with their shoulders covered. When we were there in 2009, only “ladies of the night” wore shorts or trousers and tank tops. Do Hyenas Laugh?

Do African hyena’s laugh? They sound like they do. Many of their vocalizations are scary especially at night in the bush. Female hyenas have similar looking reproductive organs as males which makes it difficult to tell what sex they are. They often hunt in packs, are vicious, and equipped with good night vision. What can the heart be capable of?

Many movies leave me feeling blah or upset. But this true story, “Kidnapped Redemption,” shows that the human heart can be capable of amazing love and good beyond what it is normally seen.
