Kathrin Reilley is petite, one third East Asian, and two-thirds cute. Being somewhat of a klutz only adds to her endearing personality. Her faith is strong and makes all the difference in the world to her. It got her through abduction in book one and a lonely marriage. She loves caring for people as a RN. Don’t let her size fool you; she is very capable.

Shay Maguire is from Northern Ireland. He can be provoked on some subjects because of his convictions and passion. But in the light of love, his earnestness can be a good thing. His strong desire to help the innocent and his sense of justice helped to promote him to Sergeant in the police force. Shay will put everything he has into his beliefs, even if it means getting hurt in the process. It’s the same if he believes in you.

Callum and Eileen Griffin are dairy farmers in Northern Ireland. They are weary of revenge and fighting, but cease fire seems unattainable. As Catholics their family have been battling Shay Maguire’s Protestant family for generations. It’s hard to let go of abuses done to them. Callum and Eileen realize it would be the same for the Maguires. They long for peace, but what can they do?

Cian Griffin is Callum’s older brother. He and his wife, Margret, are slipshod farmers. Cian feeds his anger by seeing what he wants to see. He said, “I’ve always hated your guts, Shay, now I have good reason.” Despite the truth, he believes what he wants to believe. He justifies his negative thoughts even though they sometimes lead to great harm. Cian seems to enjoy hating.

Margret Griffin, Cian’s wife. A tough life has soured Margret, and now sarcasm comforts her. Giving up on the world and herself has made it less painful, but it shows. She pays no mind to the future for she’s just trying to make it through today.

James Griffin, Cian and Margret’s son. In this photo James is meeting a friend in the old section of Belfast. James is a young version of his da (dad). Growing up, his parents weren’t emotionally there for him. They had their own struggles. Like his da, he chose anger and alcohol to comfort his pain.

Patrick Maguire is Shay’s da and Glenn McKlain’s grand uncle. Patrick’s family comes first and his store second. He feels strongly about both and is ready to defend them. He’s a good dad and husband except his wee bit of advice isn’t always followed.

Helena, Patrick’s wife and Shay’s mam. Her maiden name is McKlain. She is not only Glenn’s Grand Aunt, she has that same strong gene of beautiful blue eyes, he does. Like Glenn, she also places high value on family. Being an encourager and full of wisdom makes up for her inclination to nurture.

Brian Maguire, Shay’s brother. A people person, Brian enjoys success as a real estate agent. Since he’s good looking and charming, winning a lady’s heart comes easy for him. But watch out, Brian loves to play pranks.

Molly. Just turned thirteen, Molly wants to appear smarter and more confident than she thinks she is. She’s loyal to her friends even if it means she has to stretch the truth for them.
