Wenatchee, a Beautiful Place

“Identity Lost” mostly takes place in Wenatchee, Washington. Wenatchee means “people at the source (of a river).” Actually it’s a small city where two rivers meet: the mighty Columbia and the picturesque Wenatchee River – captured in photo. Wenatchee has a rich history, especially the archeological dig featured in my “History” category. With nearly 200 days of sunshine, you can snow ski at Mission Ridge or water ski in the Columbia or float down the Wenatchee river. There’s camping, fishing, hiking, etc. It’s a beautiful place sitting at the base of the Cascade Mountain foothills.

  1. It’s know wonder such a beautiful city has such a deep history! I can picture mammoths getting a drink in the rivers and swimming about.
